Myth & Magick: Tahuti

Completed November 2009.
6"x9"; pen&ink on watercolor paper.
This is an icon of Tahuti, the Egyptian god of magic, language, wisdom, and the Moon. Those plants growing around him are papyrus.
Accessing the energy of a godform through art is an invocation of that energy, whether or not it's intentional, and often manifests in unexpected ways. In this case, it made me very persnickety and perfectionist, and sent my mind whizzing about like a hyperintelligent squirrel on steroids. I got the general impression of Tahuti as a fussbudget, which was a very amusing mental image!
