| During the first few months of my son's life, I found myself frequently overwhelmed with the sense that I was losing myself. I pulled myself out by pouring the feelings into this painting. On a technical note, this is more sculptural than most of my work; it was constructed by gluing a paper-mache mask to the canvas. Below is a detail shot from the side that shows a bit of the depth.
